There are many temples around the Lotus Pond, such as the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, the Spring and Autumn Pavilions, and the Nine-cornered Bridge, which are impressive tourist spots in Kaohsiung. The Lantern Festival selects representative East-style architecture and deities to be presented in 360 degrees through lighting design. Modern technology and materials complement the beauty of palace-like temples, Dragon and Tiger Pagodas, and other buildings from different angles. Additionally, the design team affixes light beams to the temples with modern technology, forming a unique characteristic of the local temple culture. In this way, the event has a combined Eastern and Western look, creating a visual effect of blending the ancient and the modern.
