Foshan Metro Line 3 Shunde Port TOD Comprehensive Developmen

Shunde Port is located at the central area of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which is an important port connecting Guangdong and Hong Kong, and is a key node of the Guangdong Free Trade Zone. The planned Foshan Metro Line 3 station will further enhance the area as an important gateway of Guangdong province.

The design fully realizes its gateway location and dual-TOD advantages with four major design visions for the project, including development of an international high-tech port city; creating a waterfront destination for the Greater Bay Area; providing a dual TOD hub for Guangzhou and Foshan, and gateway comprehensive development for Shunde. Through the proposed nine design strategies, the planning design creates a multi-layer TOD urban vitality space with a mega park and comprehensive functions to present a brand new international gateway image, and to create a green, healthy and intelligent livable community for the area. The design has been approved and highly recognized by the government and has acquired awards of Hong Kong Institute of Planners and Hong Kong Institute of Architects.
