Located in the heart of Guanyinqiao, Chongqing, the project capitalizes on the region’s natural landscape and the market gap for Song-style aesthetics. It introduces a Song-style Elegant Garden design, offering a high-quality living experience through careful craftsmanship. Drawing inspiration from Song-dynasty paintings, the design emphasizes minimalist aesthetics, capturing the essence of "perceiving grandeur within a modest space." This spirit resonates with the tranquil and leisurely lifestyle sought by the scholar-gentry, reflected in the project’s philosophy.
The design integrates six core aesthetics of the Song Dynasty, blending the artistic conception of Song paintings and the elegant charm of literati life. It avoids excessive ornamentation and restores pure Song-style texture through a harmonious combination of lines, light, shadow, and natural elements, creating a balanced environment that blends elegance and vitality.
Given Chongqing's mountainous terrain and elevation differences, landscaping solutions for retaining walls became a central challenge. The project creatively reshapes the landscape to evoke the imagery of "lofty mountains and flowing water," resolving visual fragmentation and reinforcing the connection between the city’s mountain-and-urban fabric. A forward-looking water circulation system is incorporated to support sustainable development and meet both aesthetic and practical needs during property operation.
The project fills a market gap for Song-style residences, offering a cultural and modern living experience that integrates regional characteristics and cultural heritage.
